Grand Canyon Airlines minimum requirements for pilots are as follows:

 

DHC-6-300 First Officer:

  • Commercial Pilot

  • Multi-Engine Land

  • Instrument

  • Airplane

  • Current First Class Medical

  • IFR current

  • US citizen or permanent work visa

C-208 Captain:

  • Commercial Pilot

  • Single-Engine Land

  • Instrument

  • Airplane

  • 750 TT

  • 100 Cross-country

  • 25 Night

  • Current First Class Medical

  • US citizen or permanent work visa

NOTE

  • If you are selected for an interview, all times entered on the application will be verified against your logbook during the interview.

  • Grand Canyon Airlines utilizes the FAR Part I – Definitions and Abbreviations to define pilot-in-command (PIC) time:
    • PIC means the person who:
      • Has final authority and responsibility for the operation and safety of the flight;
      • Has been designated as PIC before or during the flight; and
      • Holds the appropriate category, class, and type rating, if appropriate, for the conduct of the flight.
  • In keeping with Grand Canyon Airlines drug testing policy designed to provide a drug free workplace, applicants will be subject to pre-employment drug testing.  Additionally, Grand Canyon Airlines fully supports the FAA regulation requiring drug testing of personnel in safety and security related positions.  The substances included for testing are: Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, Phencyclidine (PCP), and Amphetamines.  In compliance with the FAA regulations, testing for alcohol is included in our testing procedures.
